Yesterday:
We left County Clare, and went to County Galway, stopping in at the Cliffs of Moher. This was by far the most amazing photo-stop we have had yet - absolutely breathtaking. Incidently, I picked this pic as the background before we left, which looked awfully familiar when we went to the Cliffs. Anyway, easily our favourite spot so far.
Brief mention: the Burren - lovely place with lots of rocks. Very picturesque. This is it below with our friends Emma and Phillipe.

Today:
For once we're staying in the same place for more than one night! And a room to ourselves, which is nice but a little lonely without the others. Lots of photo stops today, beautiful scenery. First rain we have seen so far! Feels like ice chips on your face. Snow is predicted for tomorrow! Yay! We spent the day exploring Connemara, with some really nice shops - interestingly you can buy alcohol, order a sandwich to go, and shop for groceries all in the one supermarket.

We had an Irish coffee to warm up in the town of Leenane (take note our tour guide Sean will hopefully read these posts and edit all our awful spellings of town names) which was delicious. Our kind of coffee. Irish coffee consists of hot coffee, sugar, Irish whiskey and cold cream on top. Yum.
Love,
Bek and Belle
Embarassing moment of the day: Bek spotted some chickens on the side of the road. I could have died laughing. I look out the window, and there are some beautiful little white plastic bags flapping in the breeze in someone's garden. Put on your glasses, Bek.
Dear Bek and Belle,
ReplyDeleteI'll try again. Loved the plaque. Don't you have any embarrassing moments , Belle or are they all censored by the writer? Awesome photos. Let me know when/ where I can ring you for your birthday Bek.
